These screenshots are from Macrium Reflect Free Version. In Macrium Reflect 8, Restore and Clone will automatically adjust partition size when the target disk is larger or smaller than the source. I like to drag each partition to the destination disk one at a time and use Restored Partition Properties to adjust the size of each partition (or not) before dragging the next partition. You can then drag down any additional partitions and do the restore. Then click to select the rightmost partition in the target disk pane and click Restored Partition Properties to resize the partition.
Or, alternatively, drag them to the destination disk pane. So, instead of copying all the partitions from the backed up image to the destination disk at once, only check the partitions up to and including the one you want to resize before clicking Copy selected partitions. When you click Restore Image, each of the partitions in the image has a checkbox in the lower right corner. Likewise, will Macrium 7.x free versions allow you to restore only a selected partition from a saved image that contains more than one partition? I'll answer them in more detail in reverse order.
